My images reflect the cycles of nature and rhythms from the environment.
I wish to present Nature's complex structures as an essence of our fragile environment.I have a sub-conscious stock of abstract references from which to doodle because I am fascinated by organic forms, I may create drawings using cropped photographs, water colour and pen and in this way emulate how nature grows over surfaces. In Landscapes in Parallel shown in the Gas Hall at the West Midlands Open 2010, I have fused planes representing horizons to provide a visual journey through memory and time. I enjoy micro-drawing that may evoke a sublime sense of minutiae within a vast scale.
Drawings by Julie Mehretu, Kandinskyand Leonardo have inspired me.
Doodles from Natire, my own Exhibition at the Worcester Arts Workshop, Opens Sept 11 2010 until 2nd Oct. A wonderful Contemporary Dance artist Lauren Bentley will be performing as Ink and it will be Videoed by Pippa Bayston.
